Jesse had the honor of arranging a duet of “When You Wish Upon A Star” for the great American soprano Reneé Fleming and famed pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet that was filmed in October for release on PBS for New Years Eve. Check back here for more info!
In addition to Jesse’s work on The Visit on Broadway, he’s been asked to create a vocal selection version of the show to be published by Alfred Publishing Company for Kander and Ebb, Inc. Jesse is the Music Supervisor and Conductor for this new production, in addition to re-orchestrating it for a band of four. Drama League Fellow Ben Randle and Jesse are creating a four actor version of the show, They’re tackling 20 characters in 10 decades: exploring new possibilities in the intersections of gender, class, race, sexuality, and history. As the connections multiply and fracture before our eyes, Hello Again maps the chasm between power and intimacy, set to one of the most captivating scores of the modern era with music and lyrics by Michael John LaChuisa.
